Do you hold a current UK QTS or Degree with teaching experience? Engage Education is currently working with an outstanding Independent SEND school based near Brighton who are seeking a caring and enthusiastic teacher to start in September 2026. This is a permanent vacancy to work within either a Year 7 or 8 class. This school caters for secondary aged students and all students admitted have a primary diagnosis of Autism, and may have additional needs associated with ASD. They are looking for passionate teachers to teach across a range of subjects in a Year 7/8 class. This school aims to provide a structured educational environment and focuses on developing the students' independence and confidence. It is not essential to have experience working with children with special needs, although it would be desirable, and training can be provided.
What is essential however, is having the right qualities! This includes being nurturing, passionate and a desire to work with children with Autism.
