Are you an SEN support specialist with extensive experience supporting children with complex learning difficulties? Engage Education are working with multiple secondary schools across the north of Manchester who are eager to add experienced, knowledgeable and resilient SEN Learning Mentors to their brilliant learning support departments in a full-time role beginning in September 2026.

SEN Learning Mentor – Role Information

  • Conducting tailored 1:1 & small group support for KS3 & KS4 children with SEN
  • Supporting students outside of classroom setting – Based in school
  • Monitoring student progression throughout the academic year
  • Building and sustaining strong rapports with students throughout academic year
  • Located in one Manchester secondary school for full academic year

SEN Learning Mentor – Benefits

SEN Learning Mentor – What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year of experience supporting children with special educational needs
  • Naturally outgoing and determined individual with passion for education
  • Previous experience tutoring, mentoring or volunteering with children
  • Open to full-time work beginning September 2026
