Finance Officer Required for a School in Bromley. Engage Education Services has specialised in recruiting education staff in all roles for over a decade. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Finance Officer to work at a fantastic school in Bromley.
Permanent Salary is £33,000 - £36,000.
About the role:
- The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday.
- As the school finance officer, you will be working as part of a close-knit team that works hard together to ensure the smooth running of financial services across the school.
- The finance assistant's duties can include:
- Manage the preparation of the Financial Statements and the subsequent audit process through to the satisfactory completion of the annual audit.
- Provide a comprehensive, professional payroll and pension service to the School, as well as running purchase ledger.
- Remain fully appraised of all financial rules and regulations that govern to ensure the School remains compliant with regulation and reporting requirements.
- Ensure all financial controls across the School are in place and work effectively and efficiently.
- Be the lead for all audit work and liaise with external auditors and staff on all relevant matters.
The ideal applicant will have:
- A real passion for working within an education environment.
- Previous experience of payroll, pension administration and purchase ledger.
- Running payroll for over 50 employees is key.
- Preferably have knowledge of PASS or iAMS.
- Knowledge and experience of account procedures.
- High levels of computer literacy including Excel.
