Business Manager Required for Primary School in Brent. At Engage Education Services, we have specialised in recruiting education staff to work in all kinds of roles in schools for over a decade. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic School Business Manager to work full-time at a fantastic primary school in Brent.
Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we are looking for more high-quality Business Management professionals to work with these schools and ensure they continue to run smoothly. We are looking for an innovative, efficient and cost-effective business manager to lead the school on a long-term basis.
About the role
- Hours: 36 hours a week, all year round
The School Business Manager is the school's leading support staff professional and works as part of the Senior Team to assist the Headteacher and Governing Body in their duty to ensure that the school meets its educational aims. The School Business Manager promotes the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the school and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources in support of the school's learning objectives.
The School Business Manager is responsible for the effective management of:
- Financial Resources
- Administration
- Management information and ICT
- Human Resources
- Facilities & Property
- Health & Safety (the latter to be shared with the Facilities Manager)
- Staff allocated to these areas of work
You will also have responsibility for marketing the school and generating additional income from external sources (including lettings).
The ideal applicant will have:
- GCSE English and maths or equivalent
- Certificate of School Business Management from the National College for School Leadership (NCSL)
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma of School Business Management
- AAT qualified or equivalent working toward a CCAB accounting qualification
- Training on Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act and GDPR
- Experience of using computerised systems for budget management and the financial regulations applicable to schools
- Experience of using information systems including computerised systems (SIMS) in an administrative environment
- Experience of providing high-level administrative support including experience of managing staff in diverse roles
