About the role

Are you a passionate Primary Teacher with QTS looking for a new opportunity for the new academic year? We are working with a welcoming primary school in Leatherhead to recruit a dedicated Primary Teacher who can commit to the position for the full academic year (and beyond!). This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2026, with the opportunity to teach within either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 depending on your experience and the school’s needs. The school is committed to providing an outstanding education in a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. Staff are supported to deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences, and pupils demonstrate positive behaviour, enthusiasm for learning and respect for one another.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative and high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum, inspiring a love of learning and supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress, using assessment information to inform planning, address misconceptions and ensure all children achieve their potential.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour, high expectations, confidence and wellbeing.
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND, EAL and higher-attaining learners, ensuring every child can access and succeed within the curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with year group colleagues and the wider school team to contribute to curriculum planning, school initiatives, educational visits and enrichment opportunities.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers, communicating effectively to support pupils’ learning, development and overall wellbeing.
