About the role
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Work with children on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
- Help pupils with additional learning, communication and social needs
- Support children’s confidence, behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Gain experience across a range of classroom settings
- Receive ongoing CPD and mentoring throughout your placement
- Build the experience needed for teacher training, educational psychology or other education careers
About you
- Educated to degree level (any subject considered)
- Passionate about working with children and young people
- Considering a future career in teaching or education
- Patient, enthusiastic and adaptable
- Confident communicators with strong interpersonal skills
- Reliable, proactive and eager to learn
- Previous experience working with children (schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work, childcare or volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
