Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding, long‑term opportunity in a mainstream secondary school? We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Sale from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TA who is looking to secure a long‑term position with the potential to become permanent.
The Role
- Providing classroom and learning support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Working alongside teachers to support the delivery of engaging lessons
- Providing targeted one-to-one and small-group support where required
- Supporting students with their learning, confidence and engagement
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive and well‑managed learning environment
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
- Supporting students with additional learning needs where appropriate
- Building positive and professional relationships with students and staff
- Contributing to the wider life of the school
About You
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, patient and supportive approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with young people
- Good classroom management skills
- The confidence to support students both independently and as part of a wider team
- A genuine commitment to helping students achieve their potential
- A professional and reliable approach to work
Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs would be advantageous.
