Are you a passionate and qualified PE Teacher looking for your next teaching opportunity? We are working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in South Manchester seeking an enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join their successful department on a full-time, long-term basis from September. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging PE lessons that promote teamwork, resilience, confidence and healthy lifestyles.

Role

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons, assessing student progress and contributing to the wider life of the department through extracurricular sport where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can achieve.
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Promote participation, teamwork and healthy lifestyles.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement.
  • Contribute to extracurricular clubs, teams and school sporting events.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the continued success of the PE department.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching PE within a UK secondary school.
  • Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports and physical activities.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A passion for inspiring young people to enjoy sport and physical education.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
