We are working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in South Manchester seeking an enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join their successful department on a full-time, long-term basis from September. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging PE lessons that promote teamwork, resilience, confidence and healthy lifestyles.
Role
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons, assessing student progress and contributing to the wider life of the department through extracurricular sport where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can achieve.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- Promote participation, teamwork and healthy lifestyles.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement.
- Contribute to extracurricular clubs, teams and school sporting events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the continued success of the PE department.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching PE within a UK secondary school.
- Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports and physical activities.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A passion for inspiring young people to enjoy sport and physical education.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
