At Engage Education, we’re recruiting for an exciting opportunity to work in a successful secondary school within South Manchester. We are currently recruiting for a qualified Music teacher who can teach Music across KS3/KS4 to start in September.
About the role:
- This is a full-time, long-term role teaching Music in a Secondary School across Key Stage 3/4 students.
- This role comes with plenty of room for career progression for those who commit to the school’s passion for providing a supportive and enriching environment for these young adults.
- You will be working in a thriving performing arts faculty with an emphasis on creativity and inclusion.
Key responsibilities:
- Teach Music across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 if applicable).
- Deliver engaging lessons in performance, composition, and music theory.
- Lead school ensembles, choirs, or instrumental groups.
- Organise concerts, showcases, and school performances.
- Support GCSE / A-Level Music (specify exam board if known).
- Contribute to extra-curricular performing arts programme.
About you:
- Have the ability to build strong rapport with young adults, and have experience mentoring students.
- Have experience teaching Music across KS3/KS4.
- Strong subject knowledge in music theory and performance.
- Confident musician (instrumental or vocal).
- Have a proven background in raising pupil progress.
- A real desire to make a positive difference to the students that you work with.
