We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our thriving secondary school in South Manchester from September 2026. Working alongside experienced teachers and pastoral staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic progress, wellbeing and personal development across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Key Responsibilities- Support students in lessons across a range of subjects.
- Deliver small-group and one-to-one interventions to help raise attainment.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management and assessment activities.
- Support students aged 11-16 years old.
- Provide targeted support for students with additional learning needs.
- Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Support extracurricular activities, enrichment programmes and school events.
- Contribute to students’ pastoral care and wellbeing.
We are looking for candidates who:

- Have previous experience working with children or young people in holiday clubs, sports clubs, youth work (desirable but not essential).
