Are you a qualified Art teacher with the ability to inspire creativity and engage students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4? We are working with a supportive and welcoming school in the South Manchester area, which is seeking an Art and Design Teacher to start for the new academic year this September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Creative Arts department and teach Art and Design across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a school that values visual expression, high standards, and strong relationships with students.

About the role

The successful applicant will be joining a team of highly experienced teachers working in a well-resourced creative Art department. You will be working collaboratively with students to deliver outstanding theory and practical lessons helping students build confidence, fine art techniques, contextual understanding, and portfolio development. This is a full-time, long-term role for a qualified teacher who can fully commit to joining a school with a clear vision and strong ethos. You will be teaching Art and Design across KS3 and KS4, planning and delivering engaging creative practical and theoretical lessons in line with the UK curriculum while supporting students of all abilities to achieve strong creative and academic outcomes.

About you
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A degree in Fine Art, Art and Design, or a highly related subject
  • Strong knowledge of the secondary Art curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Confident teaching Art at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 to a range of abilities
  • A passion for Art and education in general
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt to new environments
  • A desire to work as a team with the rest of the department and the school
