Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
We are working with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Haringey that are looking to recruit dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants for September 2026.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential in a nurturing school environment.
The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will
- Provide one to one support and work with small intervention groups.
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, SEMH and Moderate Learning Difficulties.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Implement strategies outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Encourage pupils’ independence, communication and social development.
- Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Help prepare classroom resources and learning activities.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and parents to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
- The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for individuals who
- Have experience working with children or young people with SEND (school experience is desirable but not essential).
- Are patient, caring and resilient.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
- Can commit to working full time throughout the academic year.

Location: Primary Schools across Haringey Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full Time | Long Term Pay: £95–£115 per day (dependent on experience)
