We are working with a number of inclusive mainstream primary and secondary schools across Haringey that are seeking experienced SEND Teachers to join their teams from September 2026.
These schools are committed to providing high‑quality support for pupils with a wide range of additional needs, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to thrive.
This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching staff and pastoral teams to deliver tailored support and high‐quality teaching for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
The Role
As a SEND Teacher, you will
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND.
- Support pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, SEMH, Moderate Learning Difficulties and other additional needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.
- Deliver targeted interventions for individuals and small groups.
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, therapists and external agencies.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews.
- Promote inclusion, independence and positive learning behaviours throughout the school.
- The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for teachers who
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching pupils with SEND within either mainstream or specialist settings.
- Have a strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and differentiation.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Are committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with additional needs.
- Have excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
