The Role
As a Science Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach your specialist subject at Key Stage 5 where appropriate.
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that challenge and support students of all abilities.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to maximise achievement.
- Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment, ensuring practical lessons are delivered safely and effectively.
- Work collaboratively with the Science department to develop an engaging and ambitious curriculum.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, STEM initiatives and intervention programmes where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.
- Has excellent subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or General Science.
- Is passionate about inspiring young people to develop a lifelong interest in science.
- Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Has excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
