As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their educational goals.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will
- Support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 in the classroom.
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and improve progress.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Support pupils with varying learning needs, including those requiring additional academic or pastoral support.
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
- Help prepare learning resources and maintain an engaging classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support children's overall development.
- We're Looking For
- Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, tutoring, youth work, sports coaching, or similar setting is desirable.
- A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A willingness to learn and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's education and wellbeing.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
