We are working with a supportive and welcoming school in the Barking and Dagenham area.

About the role

The successful applicant will be joining a team of highly experienced teachers within a successful Design department. Photography is an established subject at GCSE that is growing in popularity. The successful candidate will build upon the current success of the department and explore the possibility of introducing it at Key Stage 5.

This role is based in an inner London school in the heart of East London. The school has a huge focus on student and staff wellbeing and follows a mutual respect approach to behaviour. They are a school passionate about working with their local community and look for teachers who want to teach students who may face challenges.

The school has catered for their staff workload and wellbeing as a top priority for their SLT. Teachers' contact hours are reasonable and compare well against other local schools, you receive a staff breakfast once a week, and emails are limited between 7am-6pm on weekdays only to allow staff time to keep a healthy work-life balance.
