Are you a passionate Sports Graduate ready to inspire young minds and promote physical well-being? Do you have the drive, empathy, and creativity to support students with diverse needs in a learning environment? If so, this is the perfect opportunity to blend your love for sports with a rewarding role in education. We are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for children and young adults. Our students face a range of challenges, including Autism, Learning Difficulties, SEMH, ADHD, and Complex Needs. Our mission is to empower every student to achieve their potential—academically, socially, and physically.

The Role: As a Sports Graduate, you’ll wear two hats: a Learning Support Assistant and a PE leader. In the classroom, you’ll support students in their academic and personal development. On the field or in the gym, you’ll inspire a love for physical activity, promoting health, teamwork, and resilience. This role offers invaluable experience in a special education setting and is ideal for graduates looking to launch a career in education, youth work, or sports coaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons, adapting materials to meet students’ needs, and ensuring every child is engaged and supported.
  • Plan and lead engaging, ability-appropriate PE sessions that inspire participation and foster a lifelong love of sports.
  • Provide tailored assistance to individual students or small groups, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Motivate and encourage students to build confidence, develop social skills, and cultivate self-esteem through physical and social activities.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a nurturing, inclusive environment.
  • Track and document student achievements, providing constructive feedback to teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Ensure students’ safety and well-being during activities, promoting positive behaviours and fostering a secure environment.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development to continually enhance your skills.

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field.
  • Passion for supporting children and young adults with special needs, and a desire to make a lasting impact.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and inspire trust.
  • Enthusiasm, patience, and a positive, adaptable attitude.
  • The ability to motivate and engage students, both in the classroom and during physical activities.
  • Experience working with young people or special needs students (preferred but not essential).
  • A collaborative spirit and commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment.
