About the role:
At Engage Education, we’ve specialised in recruiting teaching assistants for over a decade, so we know a bit about finding the ideal school for you. We’re currently looking to appoint a Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant to work on a temporary basis at a mainstream primary school in Wakefield. This is a long term, full time position with the potential of a permanent position for the right candidate. Ideally the successful person will be able to start as soon as possible, however we also have vacancies that will commence later in the year.
The successful Early Years Teaching Assistant will be supporting pupils in the EYFS provision as well as supporting children on a 1 to 1 basis with additional needs. The school has a dedicated senior leadership team who are passionate about supporting and developing their staff team.
The ideal applicant will have:
- Experience working with EYFS children in a nursery or primary school setting in the UK
- Experience supporting children with special educational needs
- A real passion for education and improving the attainment of pupils
- Bags of creativity for stimulating and engaging pupils
- Ideally hold a relevant level 3 or above qualification
- Have a patient and nurturing approach in the classroom
