We are recruiting for a Trainee Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a lovely mainstream primary school in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while completing a fully funded Level 3 CACHE Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.

About the Role
As a Trainee Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside experienced staff to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Working with children with SEND, including Autism,
- Encouraging confidence, independence, communication, and emotional regulation
- Supporting learning across literacy, numeracy, and intervention sessions
- Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and learning resources
- Promoting positive behaviour and inclusive learning
- Building positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families

Essential Requirements

- Committed to completing the 11-month apprenticeship programme
- Strong communicators who work well within a team
- Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn
Desirable (Not Essential)
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
- Previous experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals
Please note: Applicants must not currently be enrolled on another government-funded apprenticeship or qualification programme.
All applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check. Full support will be provided throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
