Engage Education is working with a large, welcoming primary school in Leeds that is looking to appoint enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants starting this November. Regardless of what subject you studied, this is an outstanding opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience, build transferable skills, and make a genuine difference in the local Tameside community.

About the Role

You will work across this vibrant, multi form primary school, supporting teachers and helping pupils reach their full potential. From running small learning groups to giving one-to-one encouragement, the role is dynamic and varied no two days are the same.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1-to-1 basis and leading small intervention groups
  • Assisting class teachers with lesson delivery and creative learning activities
  • Helping children build confidence in literacy, numeracy, and broader subjects
  • Assisting pupils with additional learning, language, or behavioural needs where required
  • Preparing classroom resources and helping maintain an engaging environment
  • Sharing feedback with teachers on pupil progress
  • Inspiring positive behaviour and helping every child thrive
