ICT Teacher Required for SEN Trust in Surrey

Are you an experienced ICT Teacher with QTS seeking a full-time role from January 2026? This exciting opportunity within a specialist SEN trust in Surrey could be the perfect next step for you!

About the role

As part of our ongoing growth, we are delighted to be opening a brand-new SEND secondary provision in Surrey for young people aged 11–16 who require support with social communication, emotional regulation, and sensory processing, typically associated with Autism. Students access a broad and engaging curriculum, aligned with the national curriculum but personalised to meet their needs, strengths, and interests. With small class sizes, high levels of classroom support, and a super‑numerary multi‑disciplinary team, we are committed to providing students with every opportunity to achieve. We are looking to appoint a dedicated ICT Teacher to join the team as the school launches. The successful candidate will primarily be based at the main site, with occasional work required at a nearby satellite provision.

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to curriculum delivery and development, considering the educational, physical, and social needs of students.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Using detailed planning (short, medium, and long term) to deliver high‑quality learning.
  • Setting, monitoring, and reviewing personalised learning targets.
  • Assessing, reviewing, and reporting on student progress to parents, colleagues, senior leaders, and relevant external bodies.
  • Developing reflective and effective lesson plans.
  • Contributing to the review of Statements and EHC plans, as well as PEP and LAC reviews.
  • Providing structured lessons with pace, motivation, and challenge.
  • Maintaining awareness of current issues relating to autism to inform teaching practice.
  • Managing challenging behaviours appropriately and in line with school policies.

About you

  • PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, plus evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to teach ICT up to and including GCSE level.
  • Experience supporting students with complex needs and SEND.
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Knowledge and experience of autism and associated co‑occurring conditions, and how these impact learning.
  • Experience in curriculum development and implementation for pupils with SEND.

What we offer

  • Pay in line with national teaching scales (AWR compliant)
  • Free CPD sessions
  • A dedicated consultant supporting you throughout
  • £50 Amazon voucher for every successful referral
  • Access to wellbeing support, travel discounts, and retail offers through our partners
