Engage Education are currently working in partnership with an all through school on an exciting new SEND TA position specifically to support learners with Complex Learning Difficulties and SEMH needs in the Fareham area. Starting immediately, the school is looking for an outstanding SEND Teaching Assistant to join them on a long term temporary basis. If the role goes well, this can turn into a permanent assignment. It is a special school for secondary aged pupils who have complex and SEMH (Social and Emotional Mental Health) needs. In addition to their learning difficulties some pupils have other needs associated with Autistic Spectrum Condition, speech, language and communication difficulties.
If you are passionate about supporting children with complex additional needs, and have experience with children/adults with challenging and complex SEND/SEMH this opportunity could be ideal for you. Your Role:
- Supporting learners on a one-to-one basis often with complex or SEMH needs
- Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class
- Providing feedback to teachers and parents
