Right now, we’re working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Hastings that is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Specialist to join their KS1 team. This is more than just a support role. What will you be doing? As a Learning Support Specialist, you’ll play a key role in helping children access learning and reach their full potential. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Delivering targeted interventions to boost confidence and attainment
- Assisting children with their emotional regulation, social development and independence
- Supporting learning across KS1 and KS2 where required
- Working closely with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
- Building positive relationships that help children feel safe, valued and ready to learn
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children, ideally within a school or educational setting
- Is passionate about helping every child succeed
- Brings enthusiasm, patience and a nurturing approach
- Has plenty of creativity and energy to engage young learners
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
