Engage Education is working with a number of secondary schools across Greenwich to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher for full-time positions starting in September 2026.

The Role
As a Religious Education Teacher, you will
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on your experience.
- Plan and deliver creative lessons that encourage discussion, debate, and independent thinking.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing meaningful feedback to support achievement.
- Foster an inclusive classroom where students feel confident expressing and respecting different viewpoints.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and the continued development of the Humanities department.
- Support enrichment activities and contribute to the wider life of the school.
- The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Religious Education within a secondary school.
- Possesses excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young people.
- Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Is committed to raising attainment and promoting a culture of respect and inclusion.
- Can motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
