The Role

As a Geography Teacher, you will

  • Deliver engaging and stimulating Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 depending on your experience.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that encourage curiosity about physical and human geography.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing meaningful feedback to support achievement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to participate and succeed.
  • Support fieldwork opportunities and enrichment activities where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop an ambitious and engaging Humanities curriculum.
  • The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Geography in a secondary school setting.
  • Possesses strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young people.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Is committed to raising standards and ensuring all students reach their potential.
  • Is enthusiastic about contributing to the wider school community.
