At Engage Education, we’re recruiting for an exciting opportunity to work in a successful secondary school within Hackney. We are currently recruiting for a Humanities teacher who can teach both Geography & History across KS3/KS5 to start in September 2026.

About the role: This is a full-time, long-term role teaching Geography and History to Key Stage 3-5 students. The school also places great emphasis on staff wellbeing and a healthy work-life balance.

About you:

  • Have the ability to build strong rapport with young adults, and have experience mentoring students
  • Have experience teaching Geography & History KS3/5
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status
  • Have a background in education (Does not have to be within a school)
  • Have a proven background in raising pupil progress
  • A real desire to make a positive difference to the students that you work with
