This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and strategic professional to play a key role in supporting the leadership team and ensuring the effective day-to-day operation of the school.
The successful candidate will oversee a range of business and operational functions, helping to ensure resources are managed effectively while supporting the school’s commitment to delivering outstanding educational outcomes.
About the role- Leading the school’s business, operational, and administrative functions
- Managing budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation
- Supporting the Headteacher and senior leadership team with strategic planning
- Overseeing HR administration and recruitment processes
- Managing contracts, procurement, and supplier relationships
- Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and school policies
- Supporting premises, facilities, health and safety, and site management functions
- Monitoring operational performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Preparing reports and presenting information to senior leaders and governors
- Leading and developing support staff teams across the school
- Previous experience in a School Business Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role
- Strong financial management and budget monitoring experience
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Experience managing teams and operational functions
- Strong understanding of compliance, health and safety, and school operations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work strategically while maintaining attention to detail
- Relevant business, finance, or management qualifications are desirable
- School-based experience is highly desirable
- Pay in line with Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), matching permanent staff rates
