School Caretaker required in Enfield. At Engage Education Services, we’re currently recruiting for a School Caretaker in Enfield. They are looking for an experienced School Caretaker with experience managing a School campus. This would be starting at 8am to open the school and ending at 4pm to close the school. Hours to be discussed. 31 hours a week, £16-£18 per hour.
Alternatively, we are also looking for caretakers and site assistants on a temporary short-term basis covering sickness and absence cover.
About the role
As a School Caretaker, you’ll be an experienced facilities professional who supervises work across the school with both external and internal contractors. You will have keyholder responsibilities and will be expected to:
- Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in assigned areas
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Dust and wipe down surfaces
- Clean and sanitise restrooms
- Empty trash cans and replace liners
- Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
- Follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor
This is a full-time, temporary – permanent role.
About you
- Experience working within a school environment
- A valid DBS on the DBS update service
- Be available to interview and start immediately
- All candidates must have a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before starting work
