About the Role
We are looking for a warm, creative, and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join a friendly and supportive early years team in Potters Bar. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can flourish.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and creativity in early learners.
- Support the development of key early skills in communication, language, literacy, and numeracy.
- Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing insights with parents and carers.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and caring learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider life of the school community.
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent early years teaching qualification – essential.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
- Experience working with nursery or early years-aged children.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
- A nurturing, enthusiastic, and creative approach to teaching.
