The Role
As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.
- Create a safe and stimulating workshop environment where students can develop practical and technical skills.
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress to ensure excellent outcomes.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- Contribute to curriculum development within the Design & Technology department.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and student engagement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider school community.
We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school.
- The ability to teach across one or more DT specialisms, such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering, or Food Technology.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for inspiring young people through practical and creative learning.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
