We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Dartford. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the learning and development of pupils with additional needs.
This role is ideal for a graduate with a keen interest in teaching and gaining classroom experience, with the ambition to progress into teacher training. We’re working with schools to place graduates into classroom-based support roles where they can gain real, hands-on experience either supporting SEND pupils or delivering targeted interventions. This is a great pathway into teaching and can significantly strengthen future applications for teacher training.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups to access the curriculum
- Assisting teachers with differentiated learning activities and interventions
- Helping to create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive
- Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs as part of a structured SEN programme
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN in a school or educational setting
- Level 2 or 3 TA qualification preferred
- A graduate with a strong interest in teaching and working with children
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping pupils achieve their potential
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
