Food Technology Teacher Required for Specialist Secondary School in Croydon. Are you an experienced Food Technology teacher with QTS who is seeking a full-time role for September 2026? This role working in a specialist setting in Croydon may be just right for you!

About the role

We are working with the school to recruit a teacher who can commit to the position for the entirety of the academic year (and beyond!), teaching both KS3 and KS4. This is a long-term position starting in September 2026. The school supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside additional needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties, and severe social anxieties. Staff are expected to provide a nurturing, therapeutic, and highly supportive learning environment that enables pupils to thrive both academically and emotionally. The school is focused on providing the highest quality of education, and all members of staff are expected to strive for excellence in everything they do.

The successful candidate will be passionate about building positive relationships, adapting learning to meet individual needs, and helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and life skills through an engaging Food Technology curriculum.

Qualifications & Experience

  • QTS with a Food Technology specialism.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4 in a secondary school or specialist setting.
  • A strong understanding of SEMH and SEND needs.
  • Proven background of high pupil progress.
  • A real desire to make a positive difference to the pupils you work with.
  • A calm, resilient, and nurturing approach to behaviour management.
