Engage Education is working with a supportive and inclusive school in Crawley to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. The school is looking for someone who is patient, adaptable, and passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives.
About the role:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Assisting students with academic, social, and emotional development
- Supporting pupils with EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver targeted interventions
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
About you:
- Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable
- Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to adapt support to meet individual pupil needs
- Committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
