A specialist SEMH school is seeking a passionate and innovative Computer Science / IT Teacher to join their team as soon as possible on a full-time, long-term basis, with the potential to move into a permanent role for the right candidate. The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging Computer Science and/or IT lessons across KS2, KS3 and KS4

  • Support students in developing both academic skills and confidence in using technology
  • Plan differentiated lessons and monitor student progress
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral teams, therapists and support staff to provide a holistic approach to learning

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications and experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Computer Science and/or IT
  • Experience working within SEMH, SEND or Alternative Provision settings is highly desirable
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • A passion for making technology accessible, engaging and relevant for all learners
  • The ability to motivate and inspire young people who require a more tailored educational approach
