The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver engaging Computer Science and/or IT lessons across KS2, KS3 and KS4
- Inspire students through practical, creative and real-world technology-based learning
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs
- Support students in developing both academic skills and confidence in using technology
- Plan differentiated lessons and monitor student progress
- Work collaboratively with pastoral teams, therapists and support staff to provide a holistic approach to learning
The Ideal Candidate
Qualifications and experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Computer Science and/or IT
- Experience working within SEMH, SEND or Alternative Provision settings is highly desirable
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- A passion for making technology accessible, engaging and relevant for all learners
- The ability to motivate and inspire young people who require a more tailored educational approach
