This is a rewarding opportunity to support students aged 16–19, with some learners aged 19+, across a range of vocational and academic programmes.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Teaching Assistants, or individuals with a passion for supporting learners with additional needs.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will

  • Support students in lessons on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Assist learners with a range of additional learning needs, including SEND.
  • Encourage students to engage with their studies and achieve their individual targets.
  • Work alongside lecturers to adapt learning materials and provide additional classroom support.
  • Help promote students’ confidence, independence, and wellbeing.
  • Support positive behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
  • We’re Looking For
  • Experience working with young people or adults in an educational, mentoring, youth work, or support setting is desirable.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with learners and staff.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students to succeed.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
