SENCo required for a Primary School in Bromley. At Engage, we know that a school runs on quality staff. We’ve spent over a decade building strong relationships with schools in Bromley and the school we are working with are looking for a SENCo to work on a full-time basis.
SENCo Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to complete the qualification within the required timeframe.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (2015), Equality Act 2010, and current SEND legislation.
- Proven experience supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, SEMH needs, learning difficulties, and physical or sensory needs.
- Experience coordinating and monitoring SEND provision across a school.
- Ability to identify pupils’ needs through assessment, observation, data analysis, and collaboration with staff and families.
- Experience writing, implementing, reviewing, and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs), SEND Support Plans, and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Strong understanding of adaptive teaching, targeted interventions, and inclusive classroom practice.
- Experience working effectively with Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, CAMHS, social care teams, and other external agencies.
