We are currently working with a highly supportive specialist setting in Bromley that is urgently seeking compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistants to start immediately. The school caters for pupils aged 4 –19 with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties, including autism spectrum conditions, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and medical needs.
The setting is recognised for its child-centred ethos, specialist facilities, therapeutic provision, and commitment to helping every pupil develop independence, communication, and life skills through highly personalised learning experiences.
About the Role
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support
- Assist students with life skills, independence, and engagement in learning activities
- Support personal care, mobility, feeding, and sensory-based learning where required
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, nurses, and support staff
- Help create a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate
- Have experience supporting young people with SEND, ASC, PMLD, or complex needs
- Are patient, empathetic, and passionate about inclusive education
- Can build positive and trusting relationships with students
- Are comfortable supporting personal care and physical needs
- Have experience in care, youth work, support work, theatre in education, or specialist SEND settings (desirable but not essential)
- Work well within structured and multidisciplinary environments
- A proactive attitude, resilience, and willingness to learn are essential.
