Engage Education is currently working in partnership with a SEND School in Bromley, to recruit a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with a wide range of complex learning needs across Riverside’s specialist provisions. The school supports pupils with:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Severe and profound learning difficulties (SLD/PMLD)
  • Communication and interaction needs
  • Sensory, physical and medical needs
  • Complex behavioural and emotional needs

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs and disabilities, particularly within specialist or therapeutic settings. However, we also welcome individuals with a genuine passion for SEND education and a commitment to helping pupils achieve greater independence, confidence and communication skills.

Experience in any of the following would be highly beneficial:

  • Supporting pupils with autism (verbal and non-verbal)
  • Behaviour mentoring or therapeutic support
  • Personal care and sensory-based learning
  • Theatre in Education (TIE), creative workshops or youth work
  • Working within specialist schools or alternative provisions
