About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring students remain engaged in their learning while their regular teacher is absent.
This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in education, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience working with young people, including youth workers, sports coaches, support workers or mentors.
Previous Cover Supervisor experience is not essential, but applicants must hold a degree and be confident managing groups of students.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a variety of subjects.
- Supervise students and ensure they complete the work set by teaching staff.
- Maintain a positive, calm and productive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.
- Support students with any questions they may have during lessons.
- Collect completed work and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Follow all safeguarding and school procedures at all times.

- Experience working with children or young people in any capacity.
