We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our secondary school in Wigan as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice. This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience in a school environment while working towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, with progression opportunities to Level 4 upon successful completion.

Over the 11-month programme, you will be fully immersed in school life, working alongside experienced teachers and support staff to help students access learning, make progress, and thrive both academically and personally. You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship by a dedicated mentor and training provider, gaining the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to build a rewarding career in education.

  • Learning how to plan and deliver effective learning support strategies

This is an excellent pathway into a long-term career in education, with clear progression routes into qualified Teaching Assistant, Higher Level TA (HLTA), or further teacher training routes.
