Engage Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Liverpool from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants, graduates and education professionals looking for flexible work within secondary schools.
The Role
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure pupils remain on task.
- Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Support students with their learning where appropriate.
- Follow school behaviour and safeguarding policies.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
- Provide feedback to teachers regarding the lesson and pupil engagement.
We're Looking For
- Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils is desirable.
- Confident and effective classroom management skills.
- A calm, patient and consistent approach.
- Reliable, adaptable and professional.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to confidently manage a classroom and follow school procedures.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people in education.
