The Role
Are you a passionate Maths Teacher with the ability to inspire confidence and a love of learning?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to deliver engaging Mathematics lessons that challenge, motivate, and support students to achieve their full potential.
What You'll Do
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons: Design and deliver well‑structured Mathematics lessons that align with the National Curriculum and inspire a love of the subject.
- Support student achievement: Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, ensuring every learner is challenged and supported to make excellent progress.
- Monitor progress: Assess student attainment regularly, provide constructive feedback, and use assessment data to inform future planning.
- Create a positive learning environment: Establish an inclusive classroom where students feel supported, motivated, and confident to participate.
- Promote mathematical thinking: Encourage students to develop problem‑solving, reasoning, and analytical skills through engaging and practical learning experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues: Work closely with the Mathematics department and wider school staff to share best practice and contribute to curriculum development.
- Support extracurricular opportunities: Contribute to intervention programmes, revision sessions, Maths enrichment activities, and school events where appropriate.
- Continue professional development: Engage in CPD opportunities to develop subject knowledge and teaching practice.
- Support student wellbeing: Build positive relationships with students, promoting resilience, confidence, and high expectations both inside and outside the classroom.
Qualifications
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience
- Experience teaching Mathematics within a UK secondary school.
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.

- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to motivate students of varying abilities.
