Learning Support Assistant
We are looking for caring, resilient and motivated Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist education setting where every day brings the opportunity to positively impact the lives of young people.
The school provides a safe, structured and nurturing environment where learners are supported to make meaningful progress both academically and personally.
The school believes in building positive relationships, encouraging personal responsibility and helping every young person develop the confidence, skills and attitudes they need to succeed in education and beyond.
Role Overview
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support students both in and out of the classroom.
You'll help create a calm, positive learning environment, build trusting relationships, encourage positive behaviour and provide the consistency and encouragement that enables students to thrive.
Qualifications and Experience
- Calm, patient and resilient under pressure.
- Confident building positive relationships with young people.
- Passionate about helping others achieve their potential.
- Strong communicators who work well as part of a team.
- Flexible, proactive and willing to learn.
Previous experience in education is welcomed but not essential.
We would also love to hear from candidates with transferable skills gained in roles such as sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, support work, military service, residential care, outdoor education or community work.
