If so, this is the perfect opportunity to blend your love for sports with a rewarding role in education.
We are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for children and young adults. Our students face a range of challenges, including Autism, Learning Difficulties, SEMH, ADHD, and Complex Needs. This role offers invaluable experience in a special education setting and is ideal for graduates looking to launch a career in education, youth work, or sports coaching.
Key Responsibilities

- PE Leadership: Plan and lead engaging, ability-appropriate PE sessions that inspire participation and foster a lifelong love of sports.
- One-on-One Support: Provide tailored assistance to individual students or small groups, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Student Well-being: Motivate and encourage students to build confidence, develop social skills, and cultivate self-esteem through physical and social activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a nurturing, inclusive environment.
- Progress Monitoring: Track and document student achievements, providing constructive feedback to teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Safety and Supervision: Ensure students’ safety and well-being during activities, promoting positive behaviours and fostering a secure environment.
- Team Engagement: Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development to continually enhance your skills.

- Passion for supporting children and young adults with special needs, and a desire to make a lasting impact.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and inspire trust.
- Enthusiasm, patience, and a positive, adaptable attitude.
- The ability to motivate and engage students, both in the classroom and during physical activities.
- Experience working with young people or special needs students (preferred but not essential).
- A collaborative spirit and commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment.
