Are you an experienced and compassionate SEND Teacher looking to work in a nurturing and inclusive environment? We are seeking a dedicated teacher to join a specialist team supporting children and young people with Autism (ASD) and complex learning needs.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a small class of pupils with a range of needs, including ASD and complex communication difficulties.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster independence, communication, and social interaction through creative and sensory-based learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support holistic development.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and structured environment where all pupils can thrive.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching pupils with ASD, PMLD, or complex needs in a special or mainstream setting.
  • Understanding of alternative communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, or visual supports (training can be provided).
  • Passionate about inclusive education and supporting every learner to achieve their potential.
  • Patient, creative, and resilient with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
