This SEND Learning Support Assistant position would suit an enthusiastic Psychology Graduate with a 2.2 degree or higher, and a kind, caring approach. The right candidate will be supporting students with Moderate to Severe and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD/PMLD). Many of the students will communicate non-verbally, so being able to use Makaton or PECs will be ideal. You must be comfortable with personal care (feeding and toileting).
The SEND Team is made up of dedicated, engaging and positive teachers and TAs who are looking for a like-minded Psychology Graduate with a clear passion for SEND. The school is searching for someone with the boundless enthusiasm to give 100% to every task which they are given. Creativity will play a big part in your role as day to day you will help to develop interesting lesson plans alongside teachers.
The successful Psychology Graduate will work closely with the school’s multidisciplinary clinical team consisting of Education Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists to deliver effective SEND provision. This friendly SEND school is found in Croydon, South West London and is easily accessible by public transport. The school takes a creative, inclusive and therapeutic approach to learning.
