Are you a recent graduate looking to find a meaningful role where you can make a genuine difference to the progression of KS3 & KS4 students with complex SEMH needs? An inclusive and forward-thinking secondary school in the Rochdale area is eager to find a Pastoral Mentor able to conduct key 1:1 & small group academic support for students with SEMH needs located outside of the classroom setting.
Pastoral Mentor – Role Information:
- Supporting KS3 & KS4 students with SEMH needs
- Creating engaging learning experiences across a variety of subjects
- Conducting tailored support outside of class setting
- Monitoring progression and combatting weak points
- Monday to Friday role – October 2026 to July 2027
- Working hours: 08.30am to 15.15pm
- Paid £94 to £100 per day during term time
Pastoral Mentor – Applicant Requirements:
- Minimum 2:2 UK based degree
- Prior experience supporting individuals with SEMH needs
- Resilient, patient and hard-working individual
- Ability to build rapport with challenging students
- Strong communication and organisation skills
