Phonics Intervention Teacher - Oldham and Tameside Primary Schools
At Engage, we are excited to be hiring a Phonics Intervention Teacher for two of our Primary Schools, one located in Oldham and one located in Tameside. We are looking for an experienced Teacher who has sound knowledge and expertise in teaching Phonics, running interventions and raising attainment ahead of the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check.
The role will be to support a number of groups across Year 1 to identify gaps in knowledge and deliver 30-minute booster sessions with the set groups each week to further support their decoding of words ahead of the Phonics screening. You will be working closely with SLT and the Class teachers to provide feedback and monitor progress.
The ideal candidate:
- A fully qualified teacher - minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Phonics (Read Write Inc experience is desirable)
- Experience teaching and providing Interventions in Phonics
- Availability to start work within the next 2-4 weeks
- Previous track record of raising attainment in Phonics screening checks
