Year 4 Teaching Assistant – Large 3-Form Entry Primary | MAT

Pay: £92.56 – £100 per day (paid weekly)

Engage Education is working in partnership with a large, 3-form entry primary school—proudly part of a prominent Multi-Academy Trust (MAT)—to appoint a dedicated Year 4 Teaching Assistant.
About the Role
As a Key Stage 2 specialist, you will work closely with Year 4 class teachers to support pupils during a pivotal academic year as they build independent learning skills and tackle higher-level curriculum targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing targeted 1-to-1 and small-group support in literacy and numeracy (including times-table prep)
- Delivering structured intervention programmes to keep pupils on track with year-group expectations
- Assisting class teachers with lesson delivery, resource preparation, and classroom management
- Supporting children with additional learning needs or SEND where required
- Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional resilience, and active engagement in lessons
- Collaborating with the wider Year 4 year-group team across all three classes

Requirements & Attributes:
- Experience: Previous experience working within a UK primary school setting (KS2 experience is ideal)
- Skills: Strong literacy and numeracy skills to confidently support Year 4 curriculum goals
- Mindset: Proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic about child development
- Communication: Able to build fast rapport with pupils, teachers, and parents
- Desirable: Experience running targeted interventions or supporting children with SEND
