Are you a recent graduate with a desire to secure a new and exciting long-term role within a school setting supporting KS3 & KS4 students with their academic & emotional development? An inclusive, forward-thinking and inspiring secondary school in the Rochdale area is eager to find a brilliant Secondary Teaching Assistant to provide key 1:1 academic, social and emotional intervention support to a KS4 student with complex behavioural needs for the coming academic year.
Role Information:
- Providing key 1:1 academic, social and emotional support to student with SEMH needs
- Building and sustaining genuine rapport with student throughout the academic year
- Helping student overcome academic barriers in various subjects
- Monday to Friday role – September 2026 to July 2027
- Working hours: 08.30am to 15.15 pm
- Paid £93 per day during term time
Applicant Requirements:
- Minimum 2:2 UK based degree
- Prior experience tutoring, teaching or volunteering with children or young adults
- Naturally outgoing and supportive individual
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Passionate about the development of children
